TRAINING SCHEDULE

Covid 19 and Level 5 Restrictions:
As we are currently in Level 5 Lockdown, club group training for adults is not permitted, and people are asked to train within 5km of their homes. Sounds tough but it can be done. If you'd rather stay indoors
Triathlon Ireland are running a virtual 5k and 10k challenge for running and have virtual bike sessions running on the Zwift app. There are some club turbo trainers available for members to rent, contact the Equipment manager Laurence Begley
Junior members can train in pods of 15 outdoors within strict protocols.

Swim
Some great training sessions were underway in Clonmel swimming pool with swim coach Jane Roberts and it's hoped these will resume possibly in the New Year when restrictions are lifted.
Bike:
As many of our members find it difficult to attend the traditional Sunday cycles for a variety of reasons, it was decided to create Whats App groups where people can keep in contact and organize spins when Covid regulations allow. Please get in touch if you are a new member and wish to be added to the following groups.
White Group 1 : Novice / Beginner: Pace and duration appropriate to the group on the day.
Green Group 2 : Pace - 22 - 24km per hour, duration 1 to 2 hours
Orange Group 3 : Pace - 24 - 26km per hour, duration 2 to 3 hours
Yellow Group 4 : Pace - 26 - 28km per hour, duration 2 to 3 hours
Red Group 5 : Pace - 30 - 32km per hour, duration 3 to 4 hours
Run :
Members got great benefit from Thursday sessions with Sergio during the year and we will review the running plans when Covid lockdown is lifted.
